Polytechnic School in Subotica in performing its basic activity involves numerous social partners which help in realization of theoretical and practical classes. Dual model teaching (work based learning) is realized within four educational profiles, that is why the school has a particularly close cooperation with the companies that are involved in the teaching process.
In the field of forestry and wood processing, cooperation with companies began back in the eighties of the last century when our students completed their theoretical knowledge and mastered practical skills in companies through practical classes.
The school accepted the work based learning model of education, so that the students acquired theoretical knowledge at school and improved their practical skills and competences in companies.
In companies our students acquire knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes in accordance with the qualification standard in real conditions being observed, controlled and helped by instructors and
coordinators.
Through practical work and dual education the conditions for the acquisition, improvement and development of competences using modern machines are provided, the awareness of the importance of
health and safety at work is developed, the opportunities for employment after the completed education are being offered.
At the beginning of each school year, an agreement between the school and a company is signed where the number of students in the companies, the time of learning while working and the other important
information is specified. First year students of a furniture manufacturing operator educational profile, after 6 months of preparation and training at the school, attend their practical classes two days per week in a
company training center, while the second and third year students attend practical classes three days a week in companies.
Today, we have six companies that have accreditation and a trained instructor while the rest are in the accreditation phase. The school’s cooperation with companies is at a high level realized through
communication and performing work based learning model of education on a daily basis. Monitoring, development of student competencies according to the qualification standard, as well as monitoring and implementation of the learning plan and program with company instructors is performed daily.
In the field of forestry and wood processing, a dual model education is performed to the students of a furniture manufacturing operator and furniture and interior design technician educational profiles in the
following companies:

With the help of our students and colleagues, donations made by our friends, supporters and social partners, we manage to improve the level and quality of educational standards day by day.
The educational profiles in our school are Geodesy and Construction, Forestry and Wood Processing, Graphic Arts – Typography Culture, Art and Public Information.

Certified and experienced instructors will be responsible for supporting and controlling the entire learning process, providing feedback, assisting and ensuring that the entire process takes place in a safe environment.

It has a very good cooperation with the school, provides support in vocational education, in organization and preparation for national competitions and other events, helps in preparing for final graduation exams, in filming promotional films in purpose of the profession and dual education promotion, participates in promotion for primary schools, as well as in different projects and other activities. Certified and experienced instructors will be responsible for supporting and controlling the entire learning process, providing feedback, assisting and ensuring that the entire process takes place in a safe environment.

The school has cooperated with the company DAKOTA STAR since 2020.
