Since 2017, the VET Institute has been implementing dual education programs in close cooperation with more than a dozen companies operating in the municipality of Svilajnac. Our primary focus is on developing student competencies in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and mechatronics, aligned with both current and future labour market needs.
One of our key challenges is the limited availability of equipment and teaching resources, which allows us to implement the curriculum only partially. Therefore, the main goal of this project is to improve laboratory and workshop conditions, enabling the full delivery of the curriculum and the further enhancement of teaching practices.
The specific objectives of the project are:
Establishing two makerspace facilities equipped to support student work in STEAM fields, fostering both practical skills and creativity.
Increasing the employment rate of dual education graduates in their respective professions.
Ensuring the long-term sustainability of this project by placing student-created products on the market.
