Empower - Employment Opportunities with Enterprises Relevant Skills

Project details

CT “Empower – employment opportunities with enterprise relevant skills” Program aims to build a comprehensive,
innovative and collaborative school-business partnership model, empowering employment opportunities through the
preparation of a skilled workforce by matching skills to market demand.
CT program interventions will be expanded in six dimensions:
(i) Expansion of the educational offer in accordance with the needs of the market through the new Multimedia profile in the
ICT direction. (CT1)
(ii) Improving the educational offer in the Dough Processing Technology profile in the Food Technology direction. (CT2)
(iii) Presentation of digital and interactive learning materials uploaded and used in a virtual learning environment
promoting blended learning as a learning modality.
(iv) Strengthening digital skills for both teachers and students.
(v) Development of green skills for teachers, students and business mentors.
(vi) Compatibility between the acquired skills of students with the skills required by the market.
The number of ICT and Food Technology companies approaching the school is increasing, with the demand to adapt
school curricula to feed the business with the workforce and meet local demands.
ICT market players are reshaping business operations and investing in professional workforce development, moving
towards digitization and diversification of supply chains. The proposed CT program aims to introduce a new profile under
ICT educational direction, namely Multimedia. The Multimedia profile will diversify the offer for ICT education, by offering
market required advanced technologies and students will become Multimedia specialists (profession after completing the
program).
Dough Processing Technology(Food Technology) profile needs adjustments to strengthen entrepreneurial skills for
students, introducing new teaching techniques and laboratory machinery to equip students with the required skills. A
tailored curriculum enriched with industry expertise will create employment opportunities for students after their studies
in bakeries, restaurants, etc. Students will become Dough Processing Specialists, after the completion of the program.
