To improve the existing cooperative training programmes for bakers and confectioners. The goals lie in the promotion of dual education, which will lead to greater involvement of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in dual education by establishing cooperation with the school, accepting more students to learn through work, and thus easier employment of these students and closing of the skills mismatch gap at the labour market.
The main objectives of the project are:
– Establishing cooperation with companies and forming a consortium to include companies in dual model of education,
– Improving the quality of learning through work by exchanging experience, knowledge and skills between the partners of
the consortium,
– Establishing cooperation between teachers of practical classes and instructors from the company to connect theoretical
teaching content with practical work in the company and meet the requirements and needs of the company, as well as
introducing teachers of practical classes with the way of functioning and work of the company, i.e. production plant
(machines, equipment, accessories, the flow of production process, etc.),
– Adaptation and renovation of the classroom into a school workshop,
– Developed new and adapted existing ones teaching i learning materials,
– Equipping school workshops with modern machines, equipment and accessories for work in accordance with the
recommendations and directions of companies thus reducing the gap between school and company and enabling
students to acquire basic professional skills,
– Acquisition of specific practical skills of students and their training to master the entire production process, method of
work, organization and methods of work in the company,
– Increasing the participation of learning through working in companies,
– Empowering students by developing soft skills such as work habits, work routines, communication skills and work
organization, cooperation, creativity, responsibility for work, taking initiative and teamwork,
– Employment of students after graduation as well as their empowerment to be competitive in the labor market,
– Empowering students to establish new contacts related to career planning after graduation,
– Promotion of dual education, profession and occupation.
Hemijsko-tehnološka škola provides vocational training and education in the following four domains: 1. Chemistry, nonmetals and typography, Occupational profiles: Chemistry and pharmaceutical technology technician; Forensic science technician 2. Agriculture, food processing and production technology, Occupational profiles: Baker; Food processing technician; Winery and viticulture technician; Veterinary technician 3. Textile and leather industry, Occupational profiles: Fashion design technician 4. Trade, hospitality and tourism, Occupational profiles: Confectioner
Production of toast, biscuits, and cakes
Mini Pani doo is founded in 2002. Its activities are production, storage and distribution of deep-frozen pastry within franchised system whose goal is the forming of in-store bakery. It has a well-known trademark and brand which indicates safety and quality. It has a long term cooperation with Hemijsko-tehnološka škola. Whose students have attended practical lessons, and since 2021 they have been involved in dual system of education
“Mini Pani” has a long-term cooperation with the school in implementation of practical classes that students attend since 2014. Every year, the cooperation has improved, from raising the quality of practical classes in the company’s production facilities, active participation in the life and functioning of the school, awarding scholarships to students, participation in school promotional activities, to student employment.
Production of bread, fresh pastries and cakes
Szr Str Europa deals with production and sales of baked and confectionary goods (bread, pastries, cakes, and ice-cream). It is founded in 1998 in Subotica. It employs workers of different occupational profiles (bakers, confectioners, salespersons, drivers). There is centralized production within bakery (which has HCCP standard) and six retail stores. It has a long term cooperation with Hemijsko-tehnološka škola whose students have attended practical lessons, and since 2019 they have been involved in dual system of education. In addition to student training within dual education its goal is employment of students after graduation.
“Europa” established cooperation with the school in 2018 when they awarded scholarships to students. Three students had practical classes in their facilities. In 2019 the cooperation is improved and “Europa” is accredited and receives a Certificate of eligibility for dual education for educational profiles Baker and Confectioner and students start attending learning through work in their facilities. Since the beginning they have taken an active part in the promotion of dual education and the functioning of the school, they are members of the Team for career guidance and counseling.
Production of bread, fresh pastries and cakes
Jožef Farkaš PR kolači Farkaš Subotica is founded in 2015. Its activitiy is production of pastries and cakes. It cooperates with Hemijsko-tehnološka škola and has been involved in dual system of education since 2019. In addition to student training within dual education its goal is employment of students after graduation.
The school contacted “PR kolači Farkaš” and proposed cooperation first in the form of support for verification of educational profile Confectioner and Baker and later for inclusion in the dual education. In 2019, the cooperation improved. They received a Certificate of fulfillment of the conditions for dual education for educational profiles Baker and Confectioner, since when students attend learning through work with them. Since establishing cooperation with the school, they have taken an active part in the promotion of dual education and are members of the Career Guidance Team.
Production of bread, fresh pastry and cakes
Vremeplov cooperates with Hemijsko-tehnološka škola and is involved in dual system of education for occupational profiles of Confectioner. It went through the process of accreditation for work-based learning and two of their employees gained instructor licenses. Contribution to Consortium is the possibility of employment of students after graduation

Dadine poslastice is an entrepreneurial store that produces and sells cakes and cookies, founded in 2018. In order to establish cooperation with Hemijsko-tehnološka škola, the owner has been trained as an instructor and received a license, and she also has a certificate of accreditation for dual education. The goal of inclusion in dual model of education is also the possibility of employing students after graduation.
