The project design intends to use the space above the school kitchen and free area for reconstruction of the school restaurant, for construction of the study complex furnished with the specialized equipment for simulation of the activities that usually take place in the hotel and tourism industry through realization of exercises and trainings from the following modules: operation of the hotel housekeeping, taking care of guests, accounting, sales and booking of accommodation capacities including other services usually rendered by hospitality facilities, checking in and checking out, basics of tourism, hotel business operation, informational technology, foreign languages for special purposes, creating, promotion and realisation of the travel arrangements, mediation activities of the travel agencies, tourist guide activities, providing food and beverage services. This complex would be built upon the space foreseen for the school restaurant where our students have been acquiring practical knowledge in gastronomy for a long period of time. Within the study complex, the space of amphitheatre will be reconstructed so that it shall be used for guest lectures, education of the teaching staff being the part of cooperative training, media literacy workshops, as well as for the demonstration classes, which would apply active teaching methods that impose the possibility of simulation of real working environment. It is our goal that the adapted space resembles a real hospitality facility, with the demonstration hotel rooms in which our students would acquire knowledge in housekeeping which is deemed an imperative precondition for earning the professional qualification of the (chamber) maid, then the area adapted into the reception desk/agency/accounting office for acquiring professional qualification for the hotel –restaurant technician and agency officer. Besides acquiring professional qualifications, these study areas shall help our students develop the key competences.
